The Laurel Elementary community of learners, caregivers, and educators share one goal: for every Laurel student to come to school ready to exemplify the three B’s: Be Brave, Be Respectful, Be Responsible.

What Is the PTA?

The Laurel Elementary PTA is a coalition of parents and school leaders -- we aim to engage families and support all students. We achieve this through school events, partnerships with the larger community, and a system for strategic needs fulfillment for teachers.

What Does the PTA Do? 

The PTA engages families and teachers throughout the year to build community, spark joy and raise funds for the school. Our efforts focus on 3 areas:

• Students can focus their growing minds on learning. As an older building, many classrooms are not air conditioned and lack storage. We’re providing fans and storage solutions for classrooms.
• Students have what they need to be successful. We’re helping to buy classroom supplies and underwrite field trips
• Students, educators, and families feel appreciated, celebrated, and part of the community. We’re funding teacher appreciation events, a 5th grade promotion event, and other community events
